Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our Global Payroll Process Centre of Excellence (GPPCOE) team. This role focuses on transforming and operating payroll and time-related processes to achieve world-class standards in accuracy, timeliness, efficiency, and delivery satisfaction. You will lead the implementation of payroll applications and BPO projects, working collaboratively across various regions globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery: Drive the timely completion of project deliverables and ensure high-quality outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
Work Plan Development: Create detailed work plans that outline project activities, sequences, and dependencies.
Task Monitoring: Oversee project task execution to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are completed on schedule.
Issue and Risk Management: Manage issues and risks, collaborating with stakeholders to define mitigation strategies and close out risks.
Scope and Budget Control: Monitor project scope, quality, and budget, providing regular updates to stakeholders on project progress.
Team Leadership: Lead the project team towards a successful handoff to operations, ensuring that project objectives are met.
Lessons Learned: Conduct evaluations to capture lessons learned and improve future project implementations.
Change Management Support: Assist the Management of Change (MOC) Lead in effectively communicating changes within respective countries.
Testing Coordination: Collaborate with the Global Testing Lead to develop and implement testing plans.
Resource Management: Identify and address resource issues to ensure project efficiency.
Stakeholder Communication: Ensure effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders, facilitating transparency and collaboration.
Sign-off Process: Manage the sign-off process for each project phase, ensuring all requirements are met.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience managing payroll systems implementation, preferably in a global organization.
Project Management Knowledge: Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Prince2).
Payroll Systems Knowledge: Understanding of payroll and time tracking systems.
Software Proficiency: Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com). Knowledge of Workday and Alight Worklife is a plus.
Educational Background: BA or master’s degree in a relevant field.
Critical Thinking: Ability to assess complex issues, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions.
Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Self-Motivated: Demonstrated initiative to manage projects independently and drive continuous improvements in payroll and absence processes.
Remote Work Competence: Reliable internet connection, self-discipline, effective
communication skills, strong time management, and proficiency with digital collaboration tools.
